Session on bullying and peer pressure.
Bullying and peer pressure are important challenges that these children are dealing with.
Peer pressure that is negative can lead teenagers in the wrong direction in other risky behaviors. Bullying, on the other hand, is defined as repeated and intentional behavior in which the victim and bully have a power imbalance.
We had a session discussion regarding bullying and peer pressure on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022. We described what bullying and peer pressure are to the kids. We discussed how to prevent it, who they should tell if they witness such behavior, and how to encourage good behavior in one another.
During our session, we realized that many of our students are victims of bullying and peer pressure. We asked each of them to tell us about their own experiences with these difficulties, many of them are victims of bullying and peer pressure, but they don’t talk about it, and others don’t believe them when they report it to their parents. The majority of them are confronted with these habits at school, while others are confronted with them at home. It was heartbreaking to hear them tell their stories because some of them had been emotionally touched.
We spoke to them as Ncedo NPO and encouraged them to be kind to one another, to report such incidents, and to keep going and be amazing kids. We recommend that all parents listen to their children when they have problems or report something, and show support, because these children are going through a lot and need love and direction.
